Though new  to the broadband arena sky have the kind of infrastructure and financial muscle to make a major impact on this market. They are offering a number of package deals which are competing with the likes of Talk Talk and Virgin Media. There packages range from Base which is free with your package for up to 2MB to Max which is up to 16 MB for the monthly fee of £10. There is a monthly usage cap for all but the Max package which is unlimited. Time will tell whether Sky will dominate in this market, however it looks like they are a strong player. Once one of the pioneers of the broad band world. However it  lost its way a bit . However now after a massive advertising campain Pipex broadband is now becoming a real alternative to some of the major players in the broadband supply market. It comes in two packages : Pipex midi which is up to 8MB download speed with a 15GB download limit for £9.99 or Pipexmax which is the same only with an unlimited download limit for £14.99.
